Growing up, I never learned about money

My mom hadn’t been taught about money, so she couldn’t teach me—and the schools certainly didn’t step in either. So I stumbled my way through it. I started babysitting at 13 and working at 16, paying for things my mom couldn’t… and saving absolutely nothing. I made so many financial mistakes along the way.

Little did I know, those mistakes would plant the seeds for what would eventually become Savvy Women Invest on Purpose.

At 40, I changed careers and became a financial advisor with one mission: to empower and educate women so they wouldn’t have to learn the hard way like I did. I wanted women to understand why money matters so much in our lives—and how to make it work for them.

Despite plenty of people telling me this vision would never work, I kept pushing. And now, here we are, in our third season of Savvy Women Invest on Purpose.

Savvy Women isn’t just an event. It’s a community.

What to Expect at a Savvy Woman Invest on Purpose Event:

Savvy Women Invest on Purpose events are designed to be educational, empowering & welcoming with plenty of time to connect with other amazing women.

 We’ll start with light networking, giving you a chance to meet and mingle in a relaxed, judgement-free environment. Then we’ll move into the featured presentation, where we break down financial topics in a clear, practical way. No jargon, no pressure.

 You’ll enjoy dinner during the presentation, because good conversations (and good learning) happen even better with good food. Afterward, we’ll open things up for a Q & A session, where you can ask questions, gain clarity, and hear from others who may be navigating similar situations.

Once the formal portion wraps up, we typically spend time networking & connecting- because community is a big part of what makes Savvy Women special. And before we head out, we always wrap up with a group photo, celebrating another room full of women investing in themselves & their futures.
